MP James Bezan currently serves in the Official Opposition Shadow Cabinet as the Conservative Shadow Minister for National Defence and the Vice-Chair of the House of Commons Standing Committee on National Defence.

The Hon. Rob Nicholson held the offices of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, Minister for Democratic Reform, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, and Minister of National Defence where MP Bezan served as his Parliamentary Secretary.
